Sheffield Housing Company has begun building much-needed homes on a second site in Sheffield, just months after it started work at Brearley Forge in the north east of the city

The Cutler's View development is the second of the three sites that will see 305 new homes being built in the first phase of development by Sheffield Housing Company.

The 116 homes at Cutler's View, which are being delivered by SHC (a partnership between Sheffield City Council, Keepmoat and Great Places Housing Group), will be high quality, sustainable and energy efficient, helping residents to dramatically reduce energy bills.  They will also achieve BREEAM status (the world's leading design and assessment method for sustainable buildings).

Councillor Julie Dore (Leader of Sheffield City Council), Eugien Jaruga (Chair of SHC), Mark Knight (Keepmoat new build managing director for Yorkshire) and Raymond Kinsella (regional manager at Great Places) officially cut the turf at Cutler's View on 15 February 2013. They were accompanied on site by representatives of the partners and local stakeholders.
